Practical Training for Workers Working at Heights
Working at Heights training is designed for workers on Ontario construction projects who may use fall-protection equipment while exposed to a fall hazard. The course combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on training.
Participants learn to recognize common fall hazards, understand the hierarchy of fall protection, inspect personal protective equipment, and select and use appropriate fall-protection systems.
We have been a CPO-approved Working at Heights training provider since 2015. Our instructors focus on clear explanations, practical demonstrations, and information workers can apply on actual jobsites.
Course Topics & Learning Outcomes
Participants develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognize fall hazards, inspect equipment, and use fall-protection systems more safely on the job.
Recognize Fall Hazards
Identify common fall hazards, unsafe conditions, and situations where fall protection is required.
Understand Fall Protection
Understand different fall-prevention and fall-protection systems and when each approach should be used.
Inspect Equipment
Inspect harnesses, connecting devices, anchor points, and related equipment before use.
Proper Equipment Use
Select, fit, adjust, and use personal fall-protection equipment according to established procedures.
Calculate Fall Distance
Understand clearance, swing-fall hazards, arrest distance, and other factors that affect fall protection.
Emergency Response
Understand the importance of rescue planning and responding quickly following a fall-arrest event.

What should I bring to Working at Heights training?
Bring valid government-issued photo identification, CSA safety boots, and a hard hat. Arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled course start time.
