This course is designed to guide participants through all aspects of Asbestos. We focus on the dangerous hazards associated with Asbestos as well as how to protect yourself with safe work practices.
This comprehensive course will teach you what you need to know by emphasizing key points and testing your knowledge after each module.
Overview
During this course we’ll review and discuss the following topics:
A brief outline of what Asbestos is and where it’s commonly found.
Roles and responsibilities of the individuals working with Asbestos.
Regulations set by the Ministry of Labor.
Common health effects caused by the fibres found in Asbestos.
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Participants must wear appropriate clothing, as well as CSA-certified head, foot, and eye protection. We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is maintained and in good working order per the manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
