The Working at Heights Refresher Training is for workers who have been certified by a CPO approved Working at Heights training provider. Training is mandatory every three years in order for workers to maintain certification validity.

Overview


During this course we will review and discuss the following topics:

  1. Travel restraint systems.

  2. Fall restricting systems.

  3. Fall arrest systems.

  4. Safety nets.

  5. Work belts or safety belts.

  6. Identification of fall hazards.

  7. Equipment selection.

  8. Understanding anchorage points.

  9. Fall protection systems and components.

  10. Basic energy dissipation principles.

  11. Calculating fall clearances.

  12. Rescue plan importance.

  13. Standards and regulations.

  14. Body support selection and application.

  15. Component inspection and maintenance.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)


Participants must wear appropriate clothing, as well as CSA-certified head, foot, and eye protection. We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is maintained and in good working order per the manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
