LANGAUGE

This course is required for Ontario workplaces of six or more employees per work area per shift.

This is a comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home.

Overview

During this course we will review and discuss the following topics.

  1. Preparing to respond

  2. The EMS system.

  3. CPR for adults.

  4. Using AEDs.

  5. Choking and breathing emergencies.

  6. Mental health First Aid.

  7. Opioid overdose awareness.

  8. Bleeding and burn management.

  9. Bone and joint injuries.

  10. Environmental emergencies.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Participants must wear appropriate clothing, as well as CSA-certified head, foot, and eye protection. We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is maintained and in good working order per the manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
