Our Respirator Mask Fit Test meets CSA Standard Z94.4 Respiratory Regulations that certifies N95, half mask, and full-face mask fit tests.
This Respirator Protection Training session is focused on the importance of proper respirator protection, the selection of the appropriate mask for the workplace, inspection of the mask, proper mask fit and seal test, cleaning, and storage of the masks. If you are a healthcare worker, a proper N95 Mask Fit Testing program is required when treating patients with diseases such as COVID-19, or when you’re trying to reduce the risk of exposure to airborne viral transmissions.
Overview
In order to ensure an accurate, and successful respirator mask fit test, participants can’t smoke, eat, chew gum, or consume any liquids (except water) at least 20 minutes prior to the test. This is a requirement for all masks.
Participants must be clean shaven for the Respirator Protection Training testing.
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Participants must wear appropriate clothing, as well as CSA-certified head, foot, and eye protection. We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is maintained and in good working order per the manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
