Employers, supervisors, and workers are provided with the information they need to understand the potential hazards of working in confined spaces and the necessary requirements to control those hazards prior to entry.

Participants will engage in exercises where all confined space documentation will be used.

Overview


During this course we will review and discuss the following topics:

  1. Applicable legislation

  2. Definition of Confined space.

  3. Elements of a Confined Space Program.

  4. Hazard assessment.

  5. Entry plan.

  6. Entry permit.

  7. Confined Space controls

  8. Responsibilities of all parties involved.

  9. On-Site rescue procedures.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)


Participants must wear appropriate clothing, as well as CSA-certified head, foot, and eye protection. We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is maintained and in good working order per the manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
